Picot Petite Collection - Amazing Paper Grace

 Hello Everyone,

I am here today to share my newest card made for Amazing Paper Grace featuring Picot Petite Collection

It\s cold outside, so I am missing the warm summertime

I played with  S5-432 Picot Petite Square Etched Dies and turned them around a bit

For the background I used the biggest die from the set, but the medium die cut I cut at angle 45 approx

and cut out the smallest die cut just the border

I added the flowers to create the dimension on the card

Introducing the Amazing Paper Grace Sweet Cardlets Collection

What's a Cardlet, pray tell?  A Cardlet is a small motif, complete with background, sentiment and character that combine to make small card or layers onto a larger card.  We're delighted to introduce you to the Sweet Cardlets Collection.

Becca Feeken sent over these lovely dies and watercolors for me to try.

Sweet Cardlets show up in a Glimmer format with a matching die.   They are metal plates that are used in the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System to transfer foil to paper through a combination of heat and pressure.  The Glimmer machine base is rolled through your die cut machine to deliver that pressure.  As long as you have a machine that can accommodate thick dies - like steel rule dies, you're all set. A word to the wise, it is very addicting.  (Compatibility charts on the Spellbinders website)

We gotta fess up here.  There's no such word as cardlets, yep, Becca straight up made it up.  You have to agree though, it sounds really cute, right?  Well that was the inspiration behind sweet cardlets.  As you can imagine it has something to do with cards and moreover, little cards.

Always mindful of the budget, Becca wanted to create a collection where each set is all you need to make a little card.  Sweet Cardlets are small motifs with a 3" x 3" footprint.  Each has a background, a main character and several sentiments.

We found it the right size to fit on an A2 card and even to layer onto an A7 card.  In fact, the 3" background can be repeated for a long background or a larger background.  Dies cut out each main character and three sentiments with each set give you lots of options.

Each of our Creative Team members will show you their take on cards made with the Sweet Cardlets Collection.  Today we're all using Jane Davenport Watercolors in some technique to show off Sweet Cardlets.

My Projects For Today

First up is  GLP - 235 Lovely Ladybug by Spellbinders

Here is what the dies look like:

Actually I ordered and I am still waiting for my Hot Foil Glimmer Machine, however it doesn't mean that you are not able to use these beautiful dies. and now I show you how you can do this.

So, you may wonder , what I have done? Well I just use the dies with my Die cutting Machine, it was a bit heavy to slice it for the Glimmer plates, however it works too. I've got a faux dry embossing on my cardstock.

You can notice that the dots on the lady bug wings are cut out well ( instead of embossing, I guess it depends mostly on the pressure you apply while die cutting)

For my background plate layer I used watercolor paper and tried new Watercolor Set Neutrals Art Essentials by Jane Davenport

I tried the same technique and used it to create a topper for my candy box

I only changed the color of the bugs and used the same watercolor set to create the background and the plate to emboss the cardstock.

Here is the Spellbinders video showing amazing new samples as well as a walkthrough of the entire collection.

Ho-Ho-Ho and Noel Cards for Amazing Paper Grace

 Hello Friends,

One more Christmas Inspiration from me, regarding Amazing Paper Grace new dies -

New dies from Becca - Holiday Word Blocks Etched Dies - are a perfect die to make a jewelry process on your project, and I am not kidding.

Those letters have the space that you can fill in with any color, so this is a good chance to play with the textures and colors.

I used glittered cardstock for my background plates and it shines like jewels in on the letters.

I focused on the blue and red and framed everything in pearl and silver colors.

To make the hexagon shapes I used Nestabilities Nested Clipped Squares Etched Dies

I like its festive look

Hope you have started making your Christmas Cards too, I feel so good that I have started it so long before as I have used to.

Snowflake Etched Die Card - Amazing Paper Grace

 Hello Friends,

the rainy Autumn has come, so hope now it will be mush easier for me to craft while the weather is worse than it was 2 last months.

And yes, I keep on preparing for Christmas .

  This time I played with S5 -429

Snowflake Splendor Etched Dies Christmas Cascade Collection by Becca Feeken

Such a wonderful die set that includes 3 hexagon dies, and you can die cut a separate hexagon, or you use only the silhouette shape, as I did for my card.

Also I added the snowflake - one of three from the set, that I cut into parts.

The flowers I made from vellum using Holiday Word Blocks set .

Merry Christmas Sentiment is made from silver cardstock, and yes, it is included in the die set too.

Hope you have liked my card and thanks for stopping by,

Christmas Cascade Card - Amazing Paper Grace

 Hello Friends,

Today we have a very dull misty day, so the time to warm has come.

And I came here to share one more Christmas Card featuring Amazing Paper Grace dies

I worked with a very unusual die - it is a Christmas Cascade Card Base Die, but for sure you can use it any time, not only for Christmas.

There are some tips on how to fix everything, but you can check it on Spellbinders YouTube here and it is quite simple.

I like that the die set has 4 square etched and stitched dies and you can use it for any other project, even if it is not a cascade one. So if you have thought about purchasing a squares die set , so this is a bargain for sure.

also the die set includes a very amazing decorative piece, that I used to make a golden accent and hide a pull tab.

You know, I like to create many layers on my cards, though I try to learn how to be minimalist too, but this time I played a lot with tiny details and layers, and mixed the snowflakes from Snowflake Splendor Etched Dies and the holy leaves and the birds from the die set I featured at my previous post - Holy Frame Galla Etched Dies

I embellished the other rectangles with the same decorations, and I like how the small parts of it are seen in general.

It is combined perfectly with Maja Design papers - Home for the Holidays collection

I am sure it will be a most desired card for the Christmas among my friends

Have a Wonderful Weekend

Holy Frame Christmas Cards for Amazing Paper Grace

 Hello Friends,

it seems it is time to start your Christmas preparations. I always think that I will start in July, however I never do.

But normally try to get a Christmas mood in September, though it is difficult for me too.

This time I started with the new Amazing Paper Grace - Christmas Cascade collection . and my choice - Holly Frame Gala Etched Dies  - S5 - 428

It was fun to play with tiny details and to layer them on the centerpiece

I have added small leaves and the Christmas ornaments with a bow on the top.

I also added the Die if the Month, you can check it at my previous post, but I really needed to add something glorious, so the golden cardstock is a prefect for this purpose.
and the beautiful papers are from Maja Design - I wish Collection

There are many dies in this beautiful set and I used only a few of them, so stay tuned for more cards from using this die.

Amazing Paper Grace - September Die of the Month Card

 Hello Friends,

I have been MIA for a long time. Difficult political situation is going on in my country, and for the past 2 months I could hardly create anything.

However I have some happy news to share with you that I have been chosen for Amazing Paper Grace Creative Team , and you might know that Becca Feeken creates the most beautiful and elegant dies . You can find them at Spellbinders.

So today I have my very first cards to share that I made with Amazing Paper Grace - Die of the Month - September 2020- Lattice Quadrante

The die is really versatile and gives you tons of possibilities to create absolutely gorgeous stuff.

It includes 7 pieces dies that you can use at once or separately. In my card I use the base for the pale pink cardstock and added the separate pieces of golden cardstock to create the layers on it.

In this card I used 3 layers - golden, silver and pale rose and they  still look intricate, aren't they?

For my second card I used the same materials and dies but changed a bit the layers and make the alternative background.

If you are quite attentive you may noticed the white thin part I added under the fuchsia cardstock.

Such a small detail but it adds the depth to the layer.

For my sentiment piece I used S4 - 1069
