You are my Star Card - Donna Salazar Designs

Hello Friends,
I like doing projects for the kids and about the kids. There is going to be the First Year celebration of one little cute boy, so I made ashaker card for Him.

  Вот моя, можно сказать, первая открытка - шейкер. Зато с фото))0

I have never tried to make shaker cards, however with the new Donna' s dies from Spellbinders, I guess you need to give a try.

 У меня был как раз подходящий нож - Звезды от  Spellbinders,  и там как раз получаются ячейки, такие удобные для шейкеров.

 I used the Stars dies, cut several of them , then adhered them together, It depends how thick is your cardstock, but the finished look needs to be quite thick as you will need to fill in the shapes with the sequins, glitter or whatever you like.

  Честно говоря. пришлось попотеть над этой открыткой, не сразу все сложилось. 
  Все-таки с такой цветовой гаммой я на Вы , но уж раз на ней остановилась, пришлось покрутиться.

After I adhered all the layers of die cut starts, I left the last one , and heat embossed it with the Mix'd media inx embossing powder in 2 tones. Then I adhered the acetate sheet on the backside of the die cut.

But the thick base of die cut stars I glued to the background of my card ( that I first colored with the sparys and stamped on it randomly). THen I filled the stars and the parts between them with the sequins and glitter, and after I adhered the upper layer, that I heatembossed and coved with the acetate film.
It's better to use strong adhesive as needs to be safe.

I also made some Stars shape die cuts and put in the photo of the baby, I covered it with the baker twine and made a bow at one side.
I also used the die stars, left adter I used the cascading stars dies, I covered them with Girly Grunge Art medium and sprinkled it thoroughly with the glitter.

I think I need to create more shaker cards, I love the result.

it's been a while since I created the cards and the background for them . So I decided to try this awesome technique again - to make my own background.
and I made this card for Donna Salazar Designs blog

эх, давно у меня не было открыток с самодельным фоном, все бумага-да бумага. Соскучилась я немного по безбумажным открыткам, по цветочкам)))
И вот результат

  I took the watercolor paper, applied clear gesso and then using the stencil, applied  Girly Art medium. When everything has dried I took the pigment powders and blend them over.

Немного экпериментов с фоном, гелем и пигментными красками.

I teally like the shimmer the pigment powders produce.
To create my embellishements, first I stamped with the Emroidered Stamp  on the velum and heat embossed it with white ink on one piece, and golden embossing powder on the other one. Then  I cut them out using the dies from the same set.

Ну и без ножиков никуда, я теперь без них никак. Или плоттер, или нож, очень позволяет сэкономить знаете ли на чипборде и прочих украшательствах. времязатратно - но тоже относительно

I also cut the vine using the die from the Emroidered flowers set. I cut them out from the golden cardstock, the same cardstock I used for the frame.

  Заразилась я тем, как западные рукоделы используют золотой картон, такого супер зеркального я не нашла, но вот такой немного приглушенный мне тоже понравился.

I've added the lace trim and fabric trim, and topped everything with the flowers.
Даже поштампила на кальке. одним словом, дала себе волю просто насладиться процессом и использовать разных материалов и приспособлений побольше. А что, зря они лежат что ли?

I made a nautical cover for a baby  boy book for Donna Salazar's blog
I took denim and canvas ribbons by Doona, sew them to the fabric cover, added some embellishments - and here you go - you've got something soft, busy and so temptating to touch.

Помимо разных лент, которые я попристрачивала, я еще попробовала с помощью ножей вырезать звезды- все-таки это быстрее.

I also used Spellbinders Die - Cascading Stars, and die cut a few stars from the denim fabric that gows in a pennant set.

Так что получилась довольно-таки пухленькая обложка

They look great with Donna's denim stars ribbon too,

I made some circles, that fixed by sewing - they are from the twine.


So if you have a sewing machine left after you have made sewing in the past, I suggest you to try it in scrapbooking too.

Fabric Flower Tutorial - Donna Salazar Designs

Hello Crafters,
hot summer days make me feel exhausted, however it's already July, how fast, I can't believe.
  During the past 2 weeks of heat it was so very difficult for me to create something big, so I am playing with the cards.
So many of you have asked me how I have created the flower for this card.
So I decided to make a video tutorial and to add some variations and improvements for my flower.


пока я путешествую, вспомнила, что у меня в черновиках осталась неопубликованная открытка. И небольшой мастер класс, как сделать цветок из ткани.

this is quite a simple card with some of my fav techniques that I like to use lately
- embossed background, bug fabric flower and cascading embellishments

I also made some light coloring on my background, you can check it in my video clip.
I combined a mist and a pigment ink

But the main focus on this card is the fabric flower , for sure, that I made uisng Spellbinders Jumbo Steel Die

As you see, it's quite easy to recreate. I covered the fabric dies with Donna's Art Gel, as I wnated the fabric to be more firma and flexible to create the flower and the petals.

Best Wishes Quick Card - Donna Salazar Designs

Hello everyone.
Today I've got a quick and easy card to share with you.

Мы умираем от жары. я всегда очень тяжело ее переношу, не люблю крайности в погоде, я за умеренность. Мозг плавится, все ноет.
Одним словом , печально.
Но зато вчера мы вырвались из этого пекла. и вот за чтоя  люблю лето- это за то, что оно позволяет быть мобильными. вот только что мы были в раскаленном городе, а вот мы уже мчится на озеро. вода вчера была - не передать словами, как хороша. 
полежали под березами, и вот мы уже мчим в направлении дачи спасать мамин маленький огородик ( пока она отдыхает на море), полили, наелись ягод до отвала, снова мчим на озеро.
а вечером уже мы на другой ближней даче - пьем травяной чай, ведем беседы. дети прыгают на батуте , играют в прятки на деревьях. 
какой скрап? не до него.

вот такое большое предисловие к такой вот простой открытке.
балуюсь с ножами и кручу тканевые бантики. расслабляет)))

I like using large bows in my projects, especially when it's something made For Him. But sometimes adding the flowers can turn it to be on a trend too.

вот как же творят эти CAS - спецы? загадка для меня. но я пока на вооружение их материалы , и вот что получается

I made this bow using Canvas Ribbon, it's quite puffe, but I like when some of the embellishments look a bit busy.
I topped the bow on a pice of paper cut with the Spellbinders die  from a Birdie Told me Set.

I also cut out the wings from the Art Doll Accessories set, and topped them with a small butterfly , left over from the Cascading Butterflies.

Жаль, не видать  особо фольгированных горошков на крафте . Пытаюсь быть в тренде, хоть и прошлогоднем.

  Happy Monday, crafters.

The card I've got to share has the bright colors and the color tons that I love.
I made it for Donna Salazar Designs Blog, featuring new Spellbinders dies. 
I had such a pleasure creating different flowers with them

Работа не делается, экзамены сдаются, скоро ждет путешествие.
Так что скрап пока как-то сам по себе, и честно говоря, делается с трудом хоть и очень надо. Одним словом, лето наступило. ждем октября - пока меня снова прорвет и начнется творческий бум.

А пока работы для ДК - которые хочешь - не хочешь , а делать надо.
Открытка, оочень цветочная. и да, все-таки это здорово , порой, делать цветы вручную.
я вообще пыталась записать видео мк по созданию этого бумажно-тканевого цветка, но что-то пошло не так.
Так что смотрим только фотки открытки.

I really enjoy making the flowers with the new Spellbinders dies. I made several of them , one with the paper and fabric, the other 2 - from  the papers only.

Мне нравится такая фактура, и к тому же да - такие ножики позволяют вам сделать цветочков каких только хочется. а вернее, такие, какие именно вам и нужны.

This big purple flower has paper and fabric layers. To create it I used Jumbo Rose Steel Rule Dies

Одним словом, такая классическая правильная открытка. но сейчас у меян период именно такой - правильный. Правильно ли это?

and added the flourish vine from the set as well.

Gears and Stars - Masculine Card - Donna Salazar Designs

Hello friends.
Sometimes I challenge myself and try to make something without florals and feminine softness. Something masculine and grungy, this is what is still the challenge for me.
However I tried new Donna's Dies and created this card

мои выходные прошли просто замечательно. а ваши как?
давно тут не было мужских открыток. покажу некоторые из них.
Мне, конечно, до Маши Хацкевич еще ой как далеко, но порой очень даже неплохо отвлечься от цветочков-бантиков, и сделать что-то, что мне до сих пор сложно делать- а именно, что-то лаконичное для мужчин.
И сегодня как раз такие открытки

First I started with a tag that I embossed using the Chicken Wire Embossing Folder, however I used the backside of it, as I liked the opposite background surface instead of regular .

I colored it with Clearsnap Mix'd media inks , and added the washi tape.

Ну что же, снова на помощь приходит вырубка и папка для тиснения. причем, здесь я вообще использовала оборотную сторону получившегося изображения. В дело идут так же чернила, для растушевки тона. я только сейчас до этого дозрела)))

Using the Gears Steel Rule Die, I cut the gears from Denim and Cardboard, though they are quite thick, the die cuts are perfectly cut.

Не очень люблю порядком уже поднадоевшие шестеренки, но если что-то делается быстрое , то они очень выручают. А еще скотч- вот как-то тяжело у меня с ним строятся отношения. то я про него забываю напрочь, то он как-то ну не ложится у меня в работу. тут попробовала. вроде несильно режет глаз

I also topped them with the star, that comes from Cascading Stars, that I placed on my background.

Ха, ну и что больше всего помогает, когда нет украшений или картинок ? правильно, штампы. вот тут очень кстати пришлась эта корона.
ниже еще одна открытка, почти вся из отштамповок.

 To finish my card I used the crown stamp and the die, and pull the baker's twine through the whole in a tag.

To make all the embellishments look a bit pop up, I used Foam Squares and Dodz XL

вырубка или остатки от нее ( у меня усы)

и что-нибудь металлическое.

шляпы, часы, усы, трубки - вроде бы одно и то же, но для мужчин то , что надо 

Одним словом, штампы начинают на меня наступление.
раньше я воспринимала только фоновые штампы.
А теперь....

Продолжаю чаще использовать папки для тиснения и делать самостоятельно цветы с помощью ножей

I started with the background and used Splattered Circles Embossing Folder  to make the texture on it.

After that I colored it with Distress Inks.
Then I stamped the image using Embroidered Flowers Stamp/Die Combo and colored it with Markers.
To create a dimension I placed the stamped image die cut on 3D Foam Squares.

To create my embellishments I used Jumbo Rose Steel Rule Die

I also added the vine from Flower Bouquet Stamp/Die Combo

To add more texture , I  used Flower Soft that I topped on Girlie Grunge Art Medium.
Instead of adding the ribbon, I made the loops using Girlie Grunge Twine

To Brighten the Day Card - Donna Salazar Designs

Hello Crafty friends. The rainy days started here, so I am scrapping like crazy at the moment.
And today I've got a card to brighten my dull day. I made it for Donna Salazar Designs blog, to feature brand new dies by Spellbinders

Настроение отличное, правда, открытку, которую я хочу сегодня показать, создавалась , когда у нас было жутко холодно, особенно в квартирах, и дождливо. так что очень хотелось согреться хотя бы в ярких красках

I've used many of Spellbinders Dies designed by Donna, and I love them.

Я все больше начинаю любить папки для тиснения, скоро я со всеми завалами разберусь и ждите обзор и пару идей

So I started with the background and embossed it using the new embossing folder. Then I cut out cascading circles, and my background was almost ready, I've only colored the embossed surface with the pigment inks in wine and in gold.

Также продолжаю крутить самодельные цветочки. не всегда , конечно, у меня это получается, но я учусь

After that I created the bog flower using the new Jumbo Rose Steel Rule Die, combining the denim and the paper for the layers. Then I 've added the same pigments and sprinkled everything with the water.

I also add the vine die cut from the Emroidered Flower Set.
