Wedding Gift Boxes with Steel Rule Peony Dies - Spellbinders

This is the project I made for my monthly Spellblogger post at Spellbinders blog

The wedding season is here and each time I think what can be done more for the special day other than just cards. I thought that a cute little box would be a perfect alternative to making a present.

Цветы создавала из органзы и искусственного шелка, с помощью ножа. который зараз берет идеально до 10 слоев ткани.

I created a box and made a peony flowers using the SR-038 Positively Peony Contour™ Steel Rule Die

Эх, времени бы побольше, и можно было бы бесконечно создавать цветы своими руками

To create my flower I used fabric – white tulle and mauve rayon. I colored them myself several years ago when I enjoyed batik and made some paintings on the silk. It was a good time to recycle something that has been kept for so long! But you can try with any kind of fabric you have. Organza and even cotton fabric will work great for this technique too.

I filmed the video of my creation process. I wanted to explore what kind of products you can use if you don’t have some special ones for creating the flowers. For instance, floral wire or floral tape might be a good alternative.

Коробочки получились нежные, деликатные, в моей любимой цветовой палитре, с любимой  Maja Design

For my example I used the stamens. However I also made 2 flowers with no stamens in my video. But the die set has all the elements to create the flowers, even the stamens.

Кроме цветов, вернее , цветка, который предполагался быть пионом, но поскольку  использовала слишком тонкую струящуюся ткань, у меня получилось, что-то наподобие ранюнкулюса,  я бы сказала.
Но я вырезала еще ажурные квадраты и надписи

To create the layers for my box I used S4-161 Nestabilities Labels One Etched Dies.

For my sentiment I used the die from the S4-324 Ribbon Banners Etched Dies set.

Vintage Hollywood Camera Box and video tutorial - Graphic45

Hello friends,
I've just come back from a short vacation and realized that I haven't posted here for a long time again.
So I will try to fix it and show more of my projects made recently.

Привет друзья, мы только вернулись из небольшого, короткого отпуска. и я даже немного с ужасом думаю, сколько дел скопилось в ожидании меня.
Но еще я вижу, что  снова забываю про свой блог, поэтому пока я раскачиваюсь, то напишу здесь очередной пост

  Today I will start with a project that I've made for Graphic45 blog.
It was made for the month featuring Earth  month, so we need to do some king of recycling.
Moreover I decided to create a project with an awesome Vintage Hollywood collection.

Графика, моя любимая, которая так часто заставляет выдумывать что-то новое, выходить из зоны комфорта, но именно с их бумагой подучаются такие непохожие ни на кого проекты.
На это раз нашим заданием было сделать проект, используя что-то, что может дать вторую жизнь или утилизацию, в честь месца защиты Земли. честно скажу, размышляла я очень долго.

  I love everything about the cinema, especially when it comes to some movies , vintage . The new Vintage Hollywood collection is something that I have waited for a long time for.

Several decades ago it was quite popular to collect the cards with the celebrities. Now it is a real treasure if you possess these cards.

А потом обнаружила на столе катушку от закончившегося скотча , которую подкинули дети и идея родилась довольно быстро.

Тем более. что я так хотела сделать что-нибудь эдакое из коллекции Vintage Hollywood

So I thought it would be great to create something to keep some vintage movie cards and I decided to make a camera box.

И все закрутилось - поехало - так и родилась эта камера, открыв объектив которой , можно увидеть звезд того времени, ну и заодно использовать камеру, как коробку для зранения старых карточек ( помню раньше в советское время собирали фотографии актеров), либо свои фото, конечно

 I used the Book Box from the Staples, but was I really need was something to create the “lense” so that my vintage camera box looked authentique. And my eyes caught the spool left from the tape adhesive. It was quite large enough .

как я прикрутила эту бабину от скотча, можно найти в видео. Более того, я даже отыскада старый папин ремень, такой потертый врменем, чтобы камера-фотоаппарат выглядела правдоподобно.

I filmed the process from start to finish how to attach the spool to the bookcover.

But I am going to share with you some tips also:

1. First, while working with the circles shape be accurate with all the calculations you make. It’s important to place the spool straight at the centre, so you will need a ruler and to remind some calculated needed to find the radius and diameter to cut the paper layers precise.
2. If you are going to make the cover for you “lense” score the paper first. It is a circle shape and even moving a bit will cause the offset of the paper.
3. I also added the matchbox as a part of the flashbox. You can even open it and put something tiny into it

В ход пошел даже коробок от спичек, который заменяет вспышку. конечно, можно было сделать настоящую огромную, но я ограничилась малым

I spent a lot of time searching for the belt, not a new one. I found it at the flea market, it is worn and really vintage.

Also this camera box can be used for any pictures or photos you may have, as an option - it is enough space inside to put mini album.

True Romance - Scraps of Darkness Kit

  Today I want to share with your some DT projects made for Scraps of Darkness Kit Club, using July's Kit called True Romance.
First of all I started playing with Prima Almanac Collection. I love the color combo of it and suppose that it perfectly fits the pic of my new born at his Christening, that was 2 weeks ago. I adore this photo of him.

  Хочу с вами поделиться моими новыми работами для Scraps of Darkness, это июльский набор True Romance. Я начала с коллекции Prima Almanac. Я так люблю ее за эту нежную палитру и думаю она идеально подходит для фото моего малыша с крестин. обожаю это фото, жалко, что это не я его на руках держу.

 I've played a lot at this background, first I covered it with Gesso through the stencil and stamped decorative stripes and embossed them with Lindy's powder, then added mists from Color Add on and glued some scrap stripes left from the patterned paper, after that I covered it with Texture paste through the Crafter's Workshop  Harlequin and lined the with a marker.

Да, вдоволь я здесь наигралась с созданием фона. сначала я нанесла акриловый грунт через трафарет, добавила много спреев. затем проштампила декоративные полоски и покрыла их пудрой для эмбоссинга. затем взяла обрезки от бумаги, наклеида их, ну а сверху нанесла текстурную пасту через трафарет ромбы. обвела ромбы обычным фломастером.

 It was my turn to make a Pandora Box Tutorial for our Kit Club this month, so I decided to make some OTP project. I've made a Box, and called it A box for Your Secrets

  каждый месяц один из дизайнеров делает мастер класс для **Ящика Пандоры**, раскрывая свои секреты и используя что либо набора.  
на этот раз была моя очередь, поэтому я решила сделать какой-нибудь другой скрап объект, вуаля кробочка для ваших секретов.

  This Kit features some romance styled papers and it is reach in colours and embellishments, so it was inspired by Audrey Hepburn's quote **Happy Girls Are the Pretiest**.
Actually I keep in mind another her quote, on diamonds ( do you remember it), so I added many Pearl Flourishes from Flourish With A Bling, as they perfectly fit the chosen color palette. 

  Вдохновением послежила цитата Одри Хепберн о том, что счасливые девушки самые красивые. потом я вспомнила ее еще одно высказывание о бриллиантах - отсюда так много украшений.

 and I added some misting using Lindy’s Starburst mist that came at the Color Add Onn this month, I love them for 2 tones sparkling.

Ну и конечно же, здесь я тоже не обошлась без спреев, тем более с золотистыми оттенками  Lindy's Starburst (Они, кстати, были в дополнительном наборе Color Add On)
